I'm at an internet place with $1/hour (or half hour?) rates, much better than those who go $3.50/hour.

Anansi Boys! Crystal and geeru both say it isn't really good, and I think that's because it isn't at all like his any other works. Firstly ng is a lot like terry prachett in this one, putting in a degree of humor that is not seen, in say, smoke and mirrors. I suppose the humor is to lessen the blow of the conflict being so human and that so many people can relate to fat charlie's conflicts. But this has an adverse result and it tends to sound oddly like mitch albom, with it being fable-ish and emotionally moving at the end. Although it has the themes of gods like in american gods, it is still really the most different of his works with most of the novel centered around real-life problems as opposed to fantasy ones.
